It's another year!
After the Renaissance Festival, I noticed that I was rusty on some of my tunes after focusing so tightly on the 20 or so that our fiddler could pick up in 6 weeks. So I pulled out my handy-dandy memory jogger to remind me of what tunes I knew. And then I realized I didn't have the sheet music to a lot of tunes I knew, including songs and ballads I played with the band! So, I've spent some time making myself a more complete songbook containing sheet music of everything I know, and you guys are going to start seeing the fruits of those labors. Thusly, today's update is a few tunes from a lot of different genres.

17 more tunes. This finally brings us over 800 database entries! Hooray! Four times bigger than when I put the site back up!
Lastly, I have a bit of a secret to confess. About two and a half years ago, someone was taking my work and uploading it to a site as their own (see the 8/14/2001 update for the full story). In any case, the end result was me secretly embedding a digital watermark in my images, which made them balloon up in size from about 6-20K per image to 50-120K.
I've since determined that I really don't need the watermark and have started cutting it out of my images last year, at the rate of 10-20 per update. I'm about half done and I should be done with it sometime this year! :) This means for folks still on dialup, the site will be a bit faster to load.
